It takes a lot of energy to run a homestead. You need power to draw water from your well, to provide lighting, to run your power tools and electronics, to provide heat, and to connect to the outside world. We will be the first to admit that the one thing we knew the least about when starting this adventure was how to produce our own energy. It has been a sharp learning curve, but we are on our way to feeling confident that if something prevents us from drawing power from the system, we will be okay.
Stay tuned for updates about our off grid energy projects including solar power, wood heat, pop can heaters and more.
